The DP Mindset 90 Day Coaching Program
A coaching membership for working videographers who want to transition into cinematographers, build images they are proud of, and start attracting higher-level productions.
This document explains how the membership works and whether it is the right fit for you.
The Landscape
We are living in a landscape full of social content and churn.
There are more deliverables than ever before, but fewer resources to make them.
Most videographers are expected to show up alone, move quickly, and produce a finished product under tight timelines. That model can keep you working, but it rarely allows you to make the kind of images that inspired you to pick up a camera in the first place.
At some point you reach a decision.
Do you continue hustling for low-pay projects where you are expected to wear every hat yourself?
Or do you start building work that compounds into a body of images you are proud of. Work that commands higher prices and allows you to collaborate with people who are intentionally trying to make something better.
That shift is the difference between operating as a videographer and stepping into the role of cinematographer.
Who This Is For
This membership is for videographers who are currently working alone but want to step into the role of cinematographer.
You may already be getting paid to shoot. You may already understand how productions run. But you feel stuck in the run-and-gun model and want to start making more intentional images with the support of crew.
You do not need to start over.
You need to reposition yourself in the market so you can be afforded the time, resources, and creative control required to design stronger images.
This membership is for you if:
You already know how to operate a camera
You understand the basic flow of a shoot
You have experimented with lighting but know you have room to grow
You can recognize strong images but are not always confident how to achieve them
You are tired of working alone without time to complete your vision
You want to attract clients who care about image quality
You are ready to step fully into the role of cinematographer
This membership is for people who are ready to take action rather than consume another camera review or lighting breakdown.
This membership is not for you if:
You want to wait around to be discovered
You believe someone will eventually just give you a shot
You are looking for shortcuts
You want the work done for you
The reason this membership works is because the members are serious about owning the role of cinematographer.
The Real Conflict
You are shooting images and getting paid for it. No one is going to deny that’s pretty awesome.
But simply making video is not the same thing as building a career as a cinematographer.
Videographers provide a service.
Cinematographers design images.
When you operate as a videographer you are typically hired to execute a task. You are responsible for the camera, the lighting, the sound, and often the edit. The work moves quickly and there is rarely time to design images intentionally.
When you operate as a cinematographer your role changes.
You are responsible for the image.
You collaborate with crew. You shape the lighting. You design the frame. You build a body of work that attracts stronger projects over time.
These two paths lead to very different careers.
One becomes a cycle of repetitive service work.
The other becomes a compounding body of creative work.
The challenge most videographers face is not lack of skill.
It is positioning.
The Shift
This repositioning is possible.
I made this transition myself. Just like you, I still show up to set to shoot. The difference is that I am not running and gunning alone.
When I arrive, crew show up to support the production. The camera is prepped. The lights are being set. My role is to focus on designing the image.
Cinematographers get to dream, build, and conduct.
At the end of the day I leave with images I am proud to share.
That process becomes a flywheel.
Design
Shoot
Share
Attract
Repeat
The more intentional your images become, the more confident you are sharing them.
The more you share them, the more aligned work begins to appear.
Over time the work compounds.
Your portfolio grows with stronger and stronger images, and that work begins attracting better projects.
That is the career most of us imagined when we picked up a camera.
What This Experience Really Is
This membership is designed around taking action.
You begin with cinematography education and then move into coaching stages that open as you progress.
The more action you take, the more momentum you build.
This is an ongoing environment where you move at a pace that makes sense for you.
You enter.
You design.
You create.
You refine in public.
Inside the membership you will:
Learn a decision-making framework for designing images on set
Develop images that inspire you
Plan and create real work
Build and launch a cinematographer website
Refine your craft and grow your body of work over time
The transformation is not just better images.
It is changing how you operate in your career.
Less time stuck behind a desk editing.
More time on set designing images.
The Path
The DP Mindset is structured like a film timeline. One clip placed in front of another. As each clip is completed your character arc progresses.
Creating your own work is the backbone of the program.
By the time you reach the end of the process you will have stepped into a new role and built a body of work to support it.

How the Program Works
This is an open monthly membership.
You can join at any time.
This is not a cohort. It is a staged progression system so the work unfolds in the correct order.
As you complete one section, the next stage opens.
A new stage unlocks each week across the first 12 weeks.
Inside the community you will find:
A structured curriculum with clear progression
Video lessons and practical assignments
Weekly live coaching sessions
Direct feedback and help within 24 hours
A focused group of people building real images
This is a working environment where people are actively improving their craft and their careers.
To maintain momentum, the core program runs for 90 days.
After this you can continue inside the membership to keep refining your work and building your career with ongoing coaching.
Timeline Reality
The pursuit of stronger images never truly ends. These skills compound over time.
The first 90 days focus on repositioning you in the market as a cinematographer.
During this phase you will:
Design the type of images you want to make long term
Create some of those images yourself
Begin presenting your new identity to the market
Many members begin attracting their first cinematographer projects during this period.
Because the membership is staged, people progress at different speeds.
Some begin shooting quickly.
Others spend more time refining and planning.
After the first 90 days the focus shifts from repositioning to compounding.
You may book your first cinematographer project and need advice preparing for the shoot. Or you may want feedback on lighting decisions or image design.
The membership stays available as an ongoing support system whenever you need it.
